Birmingham's The Sanders Trust has opened a new $72 million hospital in Massachusetts. The healthcare real estate investment and development company is the developer and building owner of Valley Spring Behavioral Health Hospital in Holyoke, Mass. The 124,000-square-foot facility features 150 beds, 30 of which are being operated by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. The facility has ample space for psychotherapy, art and occupational therapy, a gymnasium for physical activity and recreation, and access to outdoor spaces.
