HOLYOKE — Holyoke Community College (HCC) will welcome Massachusetts Department of Higher Education Commissioner Noe Ortega to campus on Wednesday, March 22 as part of his orientation tour of state colleges and universities. Ortega is expected to be at HCC from 10 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. to meet with students, faculty, staff, college administrators, and area officials, including former state Rep. Aaron Vega, director of Holyoke's Office of Planning and Economic Development. The Board of Higher Education hired Ortega as commissioner in August 2022.
